We begin this week... with Kamen Rider Gaim! Not because it's the only one we're covering this time, more that there's just one episode and it's kinda nothing. Takatora is still dumb, Micchy is still a liar, and Kaito still wants to grab power by the collar and kiss it like it's the end of the world. But it isn't yet, that's in like 6 more episodes.
Kamen Rider Zero one coverage starts around 10:20 ! If you hear some dubsteppy electronica, you're in the right place.
The world is shocked by a new revelation about HumaGears: Turns out sometimes, they try to kill people! And... that's a surprise, for some reason? Anyway, there aren't a lot of competent police in tokusatsu, so it's time to call in a special investigator HumaGear! Maybe he can crack the case, and make the Dodo dead once more.

The commentary track train has pulled into station, choo choo! And onboard are an entirely new sentai team that Sam has never heard of, apart from all the times I told him about it. Thankfully, they're a pretty standard sentai team, so it's not too hard to understand their deal in a crossover special. Still, they probably could have done without introducing like 3 other entire groups at the same time just to tie into a movie?
We quit faffing about and start the commentary around 4:30 .

Misfortune in Zero One sub release timing is good fortune for the podcast, as we cover three fantastic episodes of Kamen Rider Gaim! The climax of the Zawame City arc is here, with Kouta staring the imminent extinction of all humanity in the face! Can Yggdrasil's actions be justified? Is there still hope? What can you even fight against here? Maybe it's time for a little life lesson, from a totally normal human DJ.

Kamen Rider Zero One is back, and it's heading to the silver screen! Hiden Intelligence is producing a TV series to promote its HumaGear actor, which is a great plan right up to the point where it's inevitably going to be turned into some kind of cool animal robot and kill people. But for now, Lil Assassin has his sights set... on a new mentor.
Gaim coverage starts around 23:16 ! If you hear some downtempo jams, you're in the right place.
In Kamen Rider Gaim, we finally learn the true nature of the forest of Helheim. And I'm more on board with corporations being evil than anybody, but for once, they might not be the baddie...
And at 48:16 or so, we chat for a bit about the first episode of The Mandalorian! Because we liked it.
Everybody's favorite character, Lil' Assassin! All the exposition, ALL OF IT! Genuine enthusiasm about the Star Wars Christmas Special! There's only one podcast that can cover all that... and it's THIS!

Aruto is off at the races this week, so it's all Gaim! Micchy has joined the Yggdrasil Corporation, for reasons we won't know for a few more episodes. What we do learn today is how far he's willing to go to protect the innocence and joy of his dear friends! The answer is: "pretty dang far". Some real bad energy coming off of him, maybe it's time to work that all out... with a DANCE OFF!

Quiz question
A Ballet Class has six dancers to assign to balance bars. The six dancers are on two rival dance crews, Team Modern with Franchesca, Gretta, and Hermione and Team Jazz Freeform with Jaime, Kaitlyn, and Laurel. The three bars are labelled 1 to 3 from front to back. Any of the bars can remain empty.
The following conditions apply:
-Jaime and Laurel cannot be on the same bar, Jaime knows why.
-Franchesca must be on the bar immediately in front of the bar that Laurel is on. Laurel knows why.
-No single bar can hold all three Modern members, they need space to be individuals
-Kaitlyn cannot be on Bar 2 after the incident
If Gretta and Hermione are on Bar 2, which of the following must be true?
1. Kaitlyn is on Bar 1
2. Laurel is on Bar 2
3. Jaime is on Bar 3
4. Gretta and Jaime are on the same Bar
5. Franchesca and Kaitlyn are on the same Bar

As the towering humanoid Gigers lead platoons of magia through the streets, converting lifesaving HumeGears into killing machines, Yua begins to suspect that she really screwed the pooch with this one. Together she, Aruto, and Izu must come together to save the day, and all of humanity. At least Fuwa is too busy dying to yell robot racist epithets this time.
Gaim coverage starts around 23:16 ! If you hear some downtempo jams, you're in the right place.
As Kouta and Kaito are dragged into the belly of the beast that is the Yggdrasil corporation, we start to see the divisions in the obviously evil corporation's previously impenetrable facade. We also begin to see that Takatora doesn't realize the "obviously evil" part any better than he knows his kid brother has been literally dancing through this whole experiment he's been running the whole time. As his underlings cackle and scheme, it turns out that giving children unfettered access to military grade super-science can lead to very obvious consequences...
Two Shooting Wolves fighting inside me! Micchy making another bad decision for what is totally going to be the last time! Sam making me look up obscure movie drops, thank you Sam! There's only one podcast that can cover all that... and it's THIS!

In Kamen Rider Zero One, good news! We've developed a weapon to counter Metsuboujinrai.net's hacking! Incidentally, this weapon is a giant autonomous mech that is not, in an of itself, immune to Metsuboujinrai.net's hacking. Do you think that's going to be an issue?
Gaim coverage resumes around 20:42 ! If you hear some downtempo jams, you're in the right place.
In Kamen Rider Gaim, our plucky crew of dance-fighting armored riders barely has time to recap the plot so far, before a steaming pile of new developments fall into their laps! A big chunk of which takes the form of new armored riders, numbering between five and like a thousand depending on how you look at it. Man, this whole mess is enough to ruin my appetite. Although that fruit over there does look particularly delicious...
Sam's A+ student hosting skills! My ambivalence towards human extinction! Gen Urobuchi starting his engine! There's only one podcast that can cover all that... and it's THIS!

On October 11 2019, two brothers got on the internet and argued for about an hour about whether or not an anime took place all in a dream. This argument is provided with minimal editing, for posterity's sake. We'll catch up on Zero One next week.

Kamen Rider Zero One introduces us to Daybreak Town proper, a planned community run by corporate and government interests that had a space launch site right next to its populated area. Maybe there's a reason nobody was too surprised when it got blown to hell and back.
Gokaiger coverage starts around 26:36 ! If you hear jaunty chiptunes, you're in the right place.
In the 3 part finale of Pirate Sentai Gokaiger, we learn that the REAL greatest treasure in the universe is a multimedia franchise that's existed so long and been so beloved by so many people that it's been a positive force to a lot of people's lives. Anyway, time to blow up a grip of alien fascists.
